Outreach Project for the Month

June...This month we are emphasizing “Bartlett House”, one of our ongoing ministries.  Summer affects many things and one of them is Bartlett House.  It provides close by housing for hospital outpatients or family members of patients in the hospital a place to stay.  Bartlett House has individual rooms for the guests with a community kitchen and gathering area.  They also provide a coin operated washer and dryer.  In the summer, guests even include tourists on cruise ships that have medical emergencies.

We will be providing trial size toiletries items that are forgotten: pocket combs, toothpaste & toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo & conditioner, q-tips, hand lotion, shave cream, disposable razors etc.

They can also use snack items for their visitors, as most of the guests do not have a car.  Cocoa, cup of soup, top ramen, tea, popcorn and any individual wrapped snacks are appreciated for nighttime munchies.

We have all been away from home and wished we had a snack to munch on or a soothing cup of tea at the end of a stressful day.

There is a basket for these items under the bulletin board in the Narthex.
